How Our Coaching Works

  • We start with a call with our office to understand the context: the leader’s role, current challenges, and desired outcomes. This helps us recommend the right coach and ensures alignment with the organisation’s goals.

  • The leader meets their proposed coach for a confidential chemistry conversation. This is a chance to explore fit, style and expectations. Because coaching works best when the relationship feels right.

  • Together, we set clear goals for the coaching, rooted in both organisational priorities and the leader’s personal ambitions. We agree on success measures and shape a tailored journey that blends space to reflect with opportunities to rehearse and practise.

  • Regular 1:1 sessions (typically 6–9 over 6–12 months) are delivered by Bateman’s subject-matter experts. Each session combines insight, challenge and practice; tackling real issues from boardroom politics to regulatory conversations, investor presentations or leading change.

  • Mid-point and end-point reviews ensure progress is tracked and sustained. Leaders, coaches and (where appropriate) sponsors align on what’s shifting and what’s next, so learning translates directly into business impact.
