ABOUT US

At Bateman, we believe the right conversation can shift thinking, unlock possibility and change the direction of a business.

That belief sits at the heart of our team — a group of high-calibre coaches, facilitators and behavioural specialists committed to helping leaders unlock their full impact.

The business was founded in 2015 by Pippa Bateman, who combined her psychology & performing arts roots to become a highly respected leadership coach. Today, our high-calibre team brings together commercial & strategic insight, with behavioural science and performance expertise. Over the past two decades, Pippa and the wider team have built deep, long-standing relationships with senior leaders across some of the world’s most demanding and successful organisations.

Those relationships mean we’re not working at the edges — we really understand the industries & contexts our clients operate in, the commercial pressures they face and the day-to-day realities of communicating when the stakes are high.

Our people combine real commercial experience with specialist knowledge in psychology, neuroscience and human performance. Many have spent years working within high-pressure environments or supporting executives in them — so we understand both the reality of those conversations and the craft required to change them.

We work shoulder-to-shoulder with senior leaders and teams, bringing honest challenge, high trust and practical support that drives meaningful and lasting results.

Above all, we care — about the work, about the people, and about creating the kind of transformation that lives far beyond the room.

Our Values

  • We don’t just deliver programmes — we build relationships. We listen, we support, and we genuinely care about the people we work with. Whether it’s our clients, our associates or our own team, we approach every interaction with respect, empathy and a genuine desire to help people succeed.

  • Curiosity fuels us. We constantly refine our thinking, stretch our methods and stay open to better ways of doing things. Feedback isn’t something we tolerate — it’s something we actively seek out, because we know it’s one of the most powerful tools for improvement & growth (and we use it relentlessly).

  • We hold ourselves to a high bar — and then raise it. Whether we’re designing a programme, improving an internal system or choosing an associate to partner with, we intentionally sweat the small stuff. Because the devil is in the detail, little things often create the biggest impact, and lasting change requires a relentless focus on quality and precision.

  • We don’t avoid discomfort — we actively lean into it. Internally and with our clients, we use constructive challenge and honest conversations to move our thinking forwards. It’s not about being difficult — it’s about creating the momentum, clarity and alignment needed to deliver the best possible result.
